第3回内国勧業博覧会　(1890　明治23年7・8月) 明治政府が国内の物産・特産・工業・文化を把握すると共に海外輸出品目の開発 産業振興するために勧業博覧会を開催しました。 明治23年の第3回博覧会は東京上野で開かれ、パリ万博の翌年ということもあり海外の出品物も同時に 展示し華やかで内容の深い博覧会でした。 　答志郡(鳥羽市など)では、御木本幸吉、野村兵吉の両人が河田郡長より 志摩の豊富な海産物を中国向け輸出品として改良し販路拡張するため横浜、神戸へ出張し各種調査するよう 委嘱があり、両人は海産物の研究を続け博覧会への出展に至りました。 御木本幸吉は、天然真珠、アコヤ貝、真珠入り物品などを出展しました。 その審査官であった理学博士箕作佳吉にアコヤ貝による人工真珠の可能性があることを教授され 真珠養殖の険しい道を歩き出しました。 兵吉は、この博覧会で伊勢布糊を出展しました。 とはいっても布糊を出展したのではなく、工業用に加工したものを出展したのではないでしょうか。 布糊と砂をミックスして自然素材のじゅらく壁製品を作る等の凡例を出展し、上の褒状を賜りました。 参考文献 『傳記　御木本幸吉』　乙竹岩造著 三重県立美術館 Mie prefectural art museum 三重県における明治期工芸基礎資料について──�@　森本孝 It is ──(1) about the Meiji time technical basic data in Mie Prefecture.
